Better headphones alternatives to Apple's headphones with mic?

I was going to buy Apple's headphone with remote and mic, but every store around me has stopped selling them. I wasnt sure if its because Apple charges to much for stores to sell them or if its just that there are much better alternatives. The Apple headphones with remote and mic cost $30.
Are there any better headphones available for the same price? I want ones that are very similar to these! It needs a remote and mic too. No In-ear headphones either. I'm just curious if theres any headphones with better specs for the same price. Otherwise I'll just order these headphones.
Are there any better alternatives that are $40 instead of $30? I was thinking of spending about $40 on the headphones.

1 - it is easy to find ORIGINAL Apple headset with Mic on eBay for $3.50 and up from China.
Only drawback is 3-4 weeks delivery - but hey it is cheap and convenient

i personally use these. They're cheap, with a good clear sound. Okay they're not great if you play hard core music down them but if u want something like that probably best to invest in some proper headphones

i know its more then what you were looking to spend but I'm sure you could find them on ebay for around $50 but i love them and the girl does too!
