Good speaker to replace iHome?
the iHome model I bought from costco a year back died after keeping it unplugged for too long. complained to iHome and they said this is a known defect and offered to give me a replacement unit. but I was reading and a lot of iHome units have this problem, so why would I want another one? since I got it from costco I will be able to return it since their return policy is awesome. but anyway i need a decent replacement.
i would like these features:
1) decent sound, comparable to iHome if not better
2) reliable, wont die after a year
3) around $100
4) i don't need to take off my iphone case to use it
5) doesn't take up a lot of space.
i dont necessarily need an alarm clock and all that. and i don't need something portable because i keep it in the house.
thanks for the help.

Good luck with that, I have been looking for a speaker comparable to iHomes and at same price value. Not been able to find it, plus I hate having to take off my Otterbox every time I need it... However, I do not think there are speakers especially made for fitting your device with a protector.

From the looks of it, it is a proprietary cord for that device. You need to get one from the manufacturer, or make your own.
