The design is killer for both looks and that it adds actual function to to the case. Great concept!
However, I'd have to stay away because of the Signal/GPS/aluminum factor. Bad experience with the Element case, after a getting swept away by the design. It also looks as though scratching may a be an issue.

Weisjt is right, because the back is non conductive it will not resist reception as much as aluminum. Your head and hand will block more reception then the case, that's why the back is made from a composite and not the front, so when your holding it to your head the radio waves will still move out the back. This is the same reason most phone antennas are located the back.
What isn't very apparent in the photos is that we have small rubber pads at the bottom of the case, this isn't for scratch resistance primarily, its so the phone grips the table and dashboard of your car, however it will prevent scratches to the back of the case from small dust particles.
We made the case an all around good case, it'll protect your phone from decent falls, scratches as well as have good utility features, looks (hopefully you like the design), and reception quality.
Keep in mind that though aluminum cases are very strong, they are not the best or worst case for impact resistance. I don't think any aluminum case maker would claim differently. Yes our aluminum case does have a coating inside that softens the blow of falls this gives us "everyday" protection.
I'm sure most people wouldn't be willing to pay $80 without seeing at least a couple reviews on the product so we'll be sending it to assess the pros and cons.Last edited by HeatherSchmidt; 04-04-2011 at 12:25 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost

Thank you for taking the time to address the couple of points I had mentioned. I am very pleased by what you had to say and this case is now one that I am very interested in.
Thank you again for the reply!

That case resembles some teeth. It looks rigid and unique. I don't think I would buy this case, just because it seems too complicating to open and close the stand. These kinds of designs would also seem like there would be problems with the stand mostly.

the case is spring loaded to push it closed and it also uses magnet to keep it closed, it doesnt get any simpler than that, you just pull it open no screws no wrenches.
