I typically don't use a case, but after breaking basically every phone I've ever had, I figured I'd get one for my iphone 4. I'm using the incase slider and love it.

i personally like a bumper style case with front and back screen protectors on it

Any hard slider case by Incase. Buy online from Amazon and save a lot of money.

The OtterBox is like the Fushigi Ball: stupid and absolutely worthless.

I've just got iPhone 4 and bought a carbon fibre complete body wrap and it's the nuts no antenna probs any more. And it only cost £5 on eBay

Any silicon/stretchable case works fine since it keeps the padding thing and doesnt add any size to the phone

Got a Otterbox Defender for my dad and a Splash Cruiser from Amazon for me since I don't like bulky cases. Looks and works great.

Do not, I repeat do not ever use the griffin clear cases. I used them previously on a 3G, & 3GS and they fit so tight that when removed left alot of scuffing and scratches on back of phone that won't come off. I use a speck candy shell case currently.

I think the iPhone 4 wont scratch like previous models did so easily. The back is coated and glass just as the touchscreen is. I think apple fixed the easily scratched issue I hope , the new coating is super nice about not getting fingerprints on it & easy to clean off with minimal effort required.

I have a Griffin case for my 4 and it works well. The quality of a case for a 4 shouldn't be based on the experience of 3G/3GS. I also have a Speck Candyshell, I thought it was better on the 3G/3GS then on my 4 right now. It just depends really.

Sure, I agree. The 4 is much less subsectable to scratching. I was referring only to the 1 griffin clear case only. The incase sliders where great and I had several. But the one I'm talkking about the specific griffin clear one will scratch & scuff 3G/3GS, never had a problem with other cases. This speck candy case adds bulk and makes 4 feel like mass of 3G or 2G but it damn good protection all around.

I would check InCase and Speck products. Those two companies really know how to get the most protection without harming the functions of the phone. I decided to get a case so I won't have to "baby" the phone everywhere I go. It's better to have one, you never know when you'll drop it or put it on rough surfaces.
As for a film sheet for the screen, I'd get one for anti-glare. During the day time, I find it annoying to use. That will be my next investment in regards to protecting my phone.

In my opinion there are some great cases out there for iPhone 4 especially a cassette tape one I have seen floating around amazon and eBay and they offer great protection along with the screen protectors but I always think they look nicer and just sleeker without one. But that's just my opinion .

I have a Apple Bumper with SwitchEasy antiglare on the front and back. Does not show finger prints horribly and it does not reflect everything when trying to look at it.

No case here, just a CF decal on the back.
