It can be a tough search when looking to buy a real Apple charger online. Here is a pictorial of some of the unique features of the Real Charger.
The features of the Real Apple charger are very consistent. The Fake chargers are variable and are prone to poor function or outright failure. I am not discussing high quality Third Party chargers that look different from the Apple charger, I am talking about the Fake look-alikes.
Real label print is difficult to read, if print is clear it is Fake. Many Fakes misspell the first word (Designd) and the last word (Equipmnet) of the label. The Green Dot of the Real is right under the small box usually only a hair below. The Fake Green Dot is often farther away from the small box.

The Real tips of the plug prongs are very smooth, the Real stand on the prongs very easily. The Fake tips of the plug prongs are grainy, often with a linear groove at the end. Fake are often difficult to stand on prongs or won't stand. Plastic wrap, Real has 5 rows of staggered white dots, Fake has none to any number of rows of white dots.
Real on left easily stands, Fake on right this one will not stand. This Fake has 7 rows of white dots on wrapper.
The opening of the plastic back, Real has rounded corners, Fake has sharp corners. Base of USB port, Real the port base (deep in socket) is solid white plastic, Fake often has two square cut-outs in deep socket of USB port.

Metal pins of port, Real are wide and triangular shaped tips, Fake are thin with round tips.
