Why aren't there ANY good iPhone car mounting solutions?
It seems all of the current ones are horrible..... What i am looking for is an iPhone mount that could mount permanently, but would have pass through (so you can dock it easily) and have it where you can hardwire it and have it where you can turn it horizontally as well.....come on iphone car mount manufacturers ....show some imagination!

i bought a 3 dollar clip mount from ebay, got here in about 2 days from japan (im in the center of the usa also). cost me about 7 bucks total. it has a 10cm bendable shaft, wtih a suction cup end. I just plug whatever i need into it, doesn't cover stuff up.
the bottle line in my opinion is, I won't leave anything visible in my car. I have a 08 milan and I don't want it broken into for an iPhone that was in my pocket the whole time. I don't leave anything visible, and i wipe off my suction cup smudges when i use it.
If it's a big fancy rigged pass through charging, coffee making, c0ck sucking device, I wouldn't have a place to tear it down and store it while i'm out of my car.
the belkin ones look nice but they're ~100 bucks.

Yea they work great but mine is coming up on 3 years old and the flexible arm is not holding up very good.
