How I love to hate the mophie..

I used to be a huge fan of mophie and its JPA.. loved the extra battery life it offered and the sleek case for protection of my dear iphone..

However, when I bought the first one, I used it about three times before the usb pin on the mophie itself broke, rendering the JPA useless. I submitted for RMA number from mophie and it was granted. Shipped out on A thursday and got it back the next Friday.

I was impressed, happy and satisfied.. Till Sunday of this week, when the SAME THING happened again. Now, I don't know if this coincidence or what, but I'm pretty much done with mophie. Not even going to bother trying to get another RMA number as I feel this will only happen again.

So whats that you ask, how am I going to make it through my 12 hour work days on just the iphone battery alone? Well, I've found something I think will be even better then mophie and wanted to share it with you guys.

It's from FastMac.com, it's the true power iv for iphone. 3100mah!!! That's right, 3100 mah! And theres no tiny usb port to break, it comes with a 32 pin adapter, (so you can dock it to charge it, or use your apple charger) also, there is a usb plug on it so you can use it to charge two things at once.. Yeah, it's bigger then the mophie, but I dont care how clunky it is for 31000mah... I'm going to order one this week, I'll put up a review here and on youtube when I get it.

Just wanted to share on this for those looking for more juice!

Yeah, it is a beast, but I dont plan on leaving it on my phone all the time like i did my mophie.. Just when im charging it up..

yes, I'll do a review.. after I've used it for a few days to give it a fair write up.. I'll also have an unboxing.

I switched to the regular juice pack after my juice pack air refused to charge unless the phone was actually in it. When I got it this was not the case.

I think there is something fishy with those mophies.. It's too bad, because I really liked mine.

Ive had a JuicePack Air for several months....used to use it constantly, now here and there....never had an issue.

my friend introduced this iPhone case battery to me. it has 1900mAh external battery for iPhone. it is similar as mophie product, but the price is more lower, maybe could have a try...

I just hate mophie. It works too slow with my device, but I do not know why. Although my device is 3gs model. Many people somehow enjoy it.

The mophie had decent speed I just dont get how TWO of them can have the same thing happen.. Mine is under warranty and I could send it in to get another, but I'm worried/ not interested in having the same thing happen again... So I think I'll be trything the fast mac iv.

Some people say that the battery covering the antenna on the back of the phone reduces reception, thereby slowing data flow.

No more slippery slide. It look much better in person... I had just got done when i took the pics.

completely gutted.

Sanded it down with my wife nail file

just sprayed with 3m glue and layed the Suede to start wrapping.

There are so many juice packs out there that it is hard to say that MOPHIE is bad. That is like saying computers are trash because your TI-2155 was a paper weight that did smokin math. I have had both the holster and full skin juice pack. loved the full skin, and was not so impressed with the holster type. The full skin one did NOT interfere with the reception in Germany, the Netherlands, minnesota, south Dakota, or philly. OK, be fair. in some parts of the world there is NO phone reception at all, unless you buy a thuriah phone, or some other satilite bsaed phone, but i regress. The Holster seems to slow the EDGE down, but does not affect wifi.
