looking for nice little sound system for my room
hey, I was just wondering if there's anything out there that I can use as like a stereo that's compatible with my iPhone, I don't really wanna plug my iPhone into it, but I wanna use the "remote" app or something on my iPhone to control it though. I want this so I can always have my iPhone by my side in case I get a call or something while the stereo can be on the other side of the room. I'm not really looking for anything too expensive, but any help would be greatly appreciated! thanks in advance

i would use the computer itself with a nice decent set of multimedia speakers (jbl, harmon kardon, bose) and run thru itunes...use the iphone to control it remotely.

I got an iphone dock and plugged a pair of computer speakers in the line out jack, and then put the speakers under my bed. So at night, i dock my phone, turn on ipod, and listen to music quietly.

It allows you to stream your music via Wifi. I leave my MBP on 24hrs a day. I rarely shut it down

the headphone jack from mbp is actually an optical output...
if you have the regular speakers, these have to run thru an AV.
Multimedia speakers are what will work best for you...these will come with the 3.5mm input.
