get the bose man. they have never let me down. my dad pretty much has taken them over cuz he travels all the time but they have AMAZING sound quality. thats hard to come by when you listen to metal too. but i have like 10 piars of headphones, some bluetooth, others not. the bose are by far the best

i personally have quietcomfort 3 myself but they are way expensive. it just depends on what your budget is or what style you like. i dont have the ear bud ones so i cant speak on them. ive got all kinds of bluetooth ones though. lol. i had a pair of lg hbs-200 but they break way too easy. sound quality wasnt amazing either. so they would be at the bottom of the list for me

ive heard the bose ones are pretty sweet. the only earbud ones i have dealt with are the klipsch s4i and they arent bad at all. i just dont like the earbud style personally. so i will step back on this one as im not too sure.

Chances are if you like Shure's you're not going to like anything BOSE sells. The sound of their headphones is very colored (especially the In-Ear which is also not anything like Shure's earbuds) so..
The SE420 has 2 drivers so it should sound better.
Lovely

I'm thinking about getting the Bose Tri-Port ear Buds. I have read good reviews on them, about $130.00. Anyone own these?

I like the bose as well but haven't try many others, the tips do come off once in a while but they have improve them since the frist version of the buds came out. Also if you go to any bose store they should replace them for free, the lost tips that is.

Buying new pairs? Sounds good. Which one to go with? Sometimes I am so confused, Why don't we share then? Guys let us know for which pair you would like to go for.

I know I'm a little late posting but I have the etymotic research ER6i's and I like them alot the sound is good and they they do a good job at isolating your music or whatever your listening to, I really cant hear anything else when I have them in, you can get them for about $75 on amazon which is a good deal.

Go for the 500 series have a different arm that goes into the canal and it is about 60% thinner with no acoustical implications. It makes a world of a difference.
Lastly, hearphone.com HeadRoom is by far THE BEST in the field, allowing 30 day 100% money back refunds, no questions asked. Call them! You will be amazed this company exists.
Second lastly
, skip the Bose option. Or order the Shure through HeadRoom and listen to the Bose somewhere else. Worlds apart!
Dre's (Beats, I think) are not balanced enough for me. Headphones should be balanced and even sounding, I have an EQ if I would like to turn the bass to 11.Last edited by tickintime; 09-25-2009 at 10:01 AM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost
