Go for the 500 series have a different arm that goes into the canal and it is about 60% thinner with no acoustical implications. It makes a world of a difference.

Dre's (Beats, I think) are not balanced enough for me. Headphones should be balanced and even sounding, I have an EQ if I would like to turn the bass to 11.
