Ive never had a "good" pair before and was wondering how big of a difference they could possibly be.

I have the Shure e5c...paid over 500bones for them 6 yrs back..but only used them on the iphone a couple times. I am currently using a set of Ultimate Ears. Good enough for me.
cpjr, you cant go wrong with Shure. Great choice. Enjoy.
btw, audiophile and a headphile are my hobbies...costly but worthy.
