Composite cable

Hi guys i want to output video from my iphone but my tv doesnt have the yellow, red, white video/audio connections (its a pretty crappy tv). However, the tv is connected via scart to a dvd player which has the connections. Will the composite cable work if i plug it to the dvd player?
Thx guys i know its a stupid question but i really dont know.

That's the way I connect my WII so I don't see why it wouldn't.

yea i had a video camera connected like that once at a friend house so most likely it should work.

it will work as long as the dvd player has component in. (almost everyone of the does)
