iDock iPhone 3G issues

OK, I just recieved one of these univseral iDocks. Great unit, lets you sync with standard mini USB, has TV out with stereo sound. Although I had to disable the "Accessory is not made....BS" by replacing the iapd file to make the video out work properly. What a pain, but whatever (The 2.2 version does work on 2.2.1 FYI).

My question does anyone have one of these and had any success with the remote control? I get no action from mine and there is next to no info online. I tried it with my 3rd Gen iPod Nano 8gb and got no love either. At first I though it was like my JVC car stereo adapter no charge or sync, but audio routing was OK. But when the iPod didnt work either I figured something esle was afoot.

Otherwise it was a good buy, and although I am just trying it now, It's nice to have flycast streaming into my system and charging without the power cord noise!

Got the same problem. How did you get to making the video function properly...
