Thread: Apple Bluetooth Headset

is a discussion within the

Accessory Review

forums, a part of the

I am just wondering if anyone was able to get one of Apple's Bluetooth headsets? If so what are your initial impressions and where did you find yours.

There was a guy in line with me who had one. While still looking like he had a cheese grater stuck on the side of his head, he was *fanatical* about the thing. He explained how it doesn't have a microphone in it -- just a hypersensitive rod that sits against your cheek and reads the vibrations on your face. Apparently, through his testing, he was able to go into an incredibly noisy club and make a phone call and the person on the other end of the line could hear him crystal clear without much background noise... but I'm not sure how much I believe that ;-). $125 is a lot to drop on something just to test it, though.

Is this what you saw? Because if it is, it isn't an Apple headset. This is a Jawbone bluetooth (looks like a cheese grader)

I love my Jawbone, I used it with my Nokia N95, Now it's paired up with my iPhone. Haven't used it since I paired it, too busy listening to music on my etymotic ER-6i Isolator earphones. They're the only headphones I have that properly fits the iPhone's 3.5 connector.

yeah i feel you on that... i have a pair of UE that won't fit, and it really really really irritates me. but i guess that's what i own an ipod for.

I bought those adapters from iSkin to use my Shure E3c's. When they come in I'll pop up a review in the Accessory forum...

we use the jawbones in military apps (high noise levels!) quite often... by far the best sound isolation ever!

I'll have to dig out my ER-4s and try them with my iPhone.

Apple says the ship date on most of their iPhone products is 2-4 weeks, but I just bought a InCase Black Molded Rubber case, and the next day (yesterday) I got an email saying my accessory had shipped...

I'm thinking about picking up a Moto Bluetooth headset to try it out- I don't really need to spend over $100 on a headset as little as I'd use it.
