3G cover fits nicely on 2G
2G iphone (left) with 3G cover (right)
notice the hump back of the 3G case
despite the hump back the case fits nicely because the edges
of the case snapped and locked tightly over the area around the chrome trim

You are referring to a 3G case fitting onto the 2G phone?

^Yeah, I'm fairly sure that's what he meant.
And yep, from my experience most cases are known to be backwards (and forwards) compatible. My sister uses a pink 2G case on her 3G and I've seen 3G cases that fit the 2G quite nicely like you mentioned...Respect your elders.

he's not trying to prove anything... jus show others that it does fit decently incase u were wondering. so if u saw a cool 3g case u would know how it would fit.
