belkin tunebase fm transmitter help

i searched online and found that most people say this transmitter works best with iphone.. i ordered it and it came in... i have a 2g iphone and it dont work unless you push down on it really hard... i took my bros 3g and put it in and it works fine... does this just not work with 2g?? if not is there one that does??

Could be the port on your phone. If you have any type of case on it, take it off.

Did it come with any dock adapters of any kind. My Griffin came with a bunch of different adapters to fit all kinds of ipods and iphones. Maybe you need something like that.
