No. Some of the loose fitting cases (like a pouch) will work if you FORCE the phone into them, but the form-fitting cases will never line up or even go on in most cases. Especially trying a 3g to 2g, cause the 3g is slimmer in most areas.

I won't know about that specific case but I just got the Incipio Silicrylic Skin Case for my 2g 8gb iPhone and it fitted perfectly! I decided to give it a try since I've heard many people using 3g cases on 2g phones..

The One that I got ain't a hard case, it's a silicone skin with a plastic clip on the back but since it ain't hardcase it makes it flexible and what surprised me it's that it fitted tightly, I thought it was going to be all loose.
