Just be sure to have a complete shield on though if you buy it.

I had a seidio... it works well but I wanted something to cover EVERYTHING... capsule rebel is the one for me

I have the exact case for my 2nd gen and love it. I have to have a belt clip and I don't like anything that is currently out there. This one allows me to use the leather side pouch that is sold at the att store. it definitely keeps the back from being scratched. I don't think it will help in case you drop the phone though. You will need more protection than this one offers.
