Best 3g holster?
I'm now in the market for a nice, slim holster.
I've gone from a silicone case, to a cheap carbon-fibre copy case, to invisible sheild, to incase slider (biggest waste of money ever), and now back to invisible sheild.
I've decided the phone looks best like this and is well protected from scratches, but I still want to be able to have protection for it while I'm not using it in case it falls out of my pocket, etc.
Basically something that I can just slide the phone into/out of when I need to use it, but that also can be clipped to the inside of a pocket. I'm obsessed (and i mean obsessed) with carbon fibre. My interior of my car is covered in it, and that's what I've been looking for in a holster, but they run something like 50 bucks.
Any suggestions?

I use the casemate as an external cover, but I also use Invisible shield.
Check out their website. I think it was:

Thanks for the link.
I'm looking for something like this from that website:
Black Carbon Fiber Holster for iPhone 3G
Only with the holster being entirely enclosed around the iphone itself, without having a permanent case on it.Last edited by adamnur; 10-19-2008 at 07:12 PM.

anything impact resistant basically. The slim pouch on sena's website is pretty much perfect except it doesn't have the beltclip lol. I'll keep looking though, seems there are some good companies advertising on mmi.

Sena has made a new one that does indeed have the belt clip

Hope this helps :P

Yeah, thanks I saw that one too...I just hate that the non-clip one is SO much thinner in every dimension.
I'm sure I could find a way to attach an external clip to the slim one. I love how tight fitting it looks.

If you are actually looking for a piuch, go with moshi. This is LITERALLY a pouch though.

Sena's pouch with a clip is a little thicker, BUT it offers alot more protection than the thinner pouch which is soft.
The one with the clip is actually stiff - I have that one and like it alot.
I also have the "walletskin" which is not thin, but includes a wallet so its pretty cool.

^Sounds pretty cool. After hours of research on just about every leather pouch/holster available, I've found a replica of something like the Ultra Slim by Sena (I just can't pay 30 dollars + ship for a leather pouch!) for about 10 bucks.
I love the look of the elega pouch with the clip, but it looks really thick...I read a review stating it's almsot 3x the thickness of the actual iPhone once the phone is in it.
I think I'm going to get the ultra slim copy and find a way to stitch or mold a clip into it...lol I wouldn't want to do this to the 30 dollar one!

OtterBox for iPhone® 3G Defender Series.i got it few days ago and its great protection from more than the occasional drop. wow. the best protection i've seen yet.i got mine for under 30 retails for 50.
First, a thin, clear membrane covers your Touch Screen to help prevent scratches and dings. Second is a hard, strong Polycarbonate skeleton that surrounds your device. Wrapped around all of this is a Silicone skin that absorbs bump and shock, protecting against the accidental drop

Agreed, its hard to beat the Otterbox. It does make the phone a little larger, and less slim line though, thats its only draw back.

Seems like that chi888 guy is a spammer...besides the otterbox isn't even a holster
