Looking for a good 3G external battery for additional talk-time.
Anyone have a recommendation for a good external battery that can be used on long plane flights?

My wife is addicted to the iPhone 3G and I need something that is well made and would be able to recharge the 3G 100%+
One problem is that she has a really nice SENA magnetic flip cover case that will allow the iPhone connector that came with the phone to connect but probably would not work well with a direct connection external battery like a 3G Juice.
I am also interested in something that is well made and not likely to fry the electronics on my wife's phone...
Any suggestions?

This is the one I use, but I am not sure what kind of case you are talking about. The connector is a bit larger than the USB cable that comes with the phone.
Here it is on the Kensington site:

I highly recommend:
Backup Battery for iPhone / iPod - DX001
It is made by the guy that started Sharper Image I guess, anyway, I bought one and it works very well. It has a longer charge than the Kensington, comes with a wall plug charger, and has free shipping.
It works perfectly with my full body case.
