does anyone no if this works w/ the 1st gen iphone?? and if it does do i need the garmin headphone jack bc of the recessed jack??

Since it says it works with ipods, and I'm pretty sure ipods use standard headphone jacks, you'll need the adapter for the iphone 2G (since 2G iphone doesn't use a standard headphone jack)

Rather then getting a tape a adpater, you would be better off with a blitzsafe adapter
