Invisible shield - Review
16GB iPhone 3G
Ive had 3 different shields on my phone (BodyGuardz, BSE, and now invisible shield).
First off, all 3 are a pain to install and require a lot of time and patience. They should be installed in the bathroom with a very hot shower running to trap the dust and keep it from floating around and attaching to your film.
That being said, Invisible Shield is definitely the best solution. It fits the phone absolutely perfectly, and you can hardly see it. I only applied the back film because I like static shields for the front. There are no bubbles at all, and the corners went down perfectly after using the palm of my hand to mold them. You have to wait around 20 minutes for the corners to dry before you can put them down, but after that they stick great.
This shield is also far more scratch proof than the other two. BSE and BG i could scratch with a key... But not this!!!
Application: 3/10 - pain in the butt
Looks: 10/10
Protection: 10/10
Also adds a considerable amount of grip.
Highly recommended if you are into this type of protection for your phone. Hand it to someone, and they wont even know you have it on!!!Last edited by bbplayer5; 08-23-2008 at 10:12 AM.

I've used both BSE and Invisible Shield and I must say I do like IS better. I belive it's the same product but the cuts are different, IS's cut is alot better. Also installing them on the iPhone is a real pain, because the screen/phone is so big... I wish I could send them my iPhone and have them install the screen protecteor on there, because I can never get it to look like they do in the video, LoL... I have installed numerous BSE and IS screens on BB Pearls and Curves with ease...

Great review, but...
I wouldn't give it a 10/10 for protection. There are still exposed areas in the corners.

What's this about needing to run a hot shower. There is plenty of liquid they give you.... moisten fingers, then backing (I moistened backing as i peeled it off the paper) and put it on gently. Use a microfiber to clean the screen and back with some spray (I use monster screen cleaner) Took me about 30 minutes total to perfectly line things up. Also used a blow drier on medium/low heat for a bit to help the corners get tacky and stick. Let the thing sit for 24 hours and then threw on my CapsuleRebel case. I have no dust or anything under my skin )I have a white iphone). It really isn't as hard as people claim. It does take time and patience. If you have that you are set.
NOTE: I do have some faint lines on the shield in some places. They are not air or anything, they are just imperfections in the skin. I contacted zagg about this and offered to send me another, but stated that slight imperfections were virtually unavoidable. In short, it was normal but they were still willing to send me another skin as a replacement.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I once prayed to God for an iPhone, but quickly found out He didn't work that way...so I stole an iPhone and prayed for His forgiveness.

Great suggestion.
I have tried 4 various shields.
Antil glare takes away from the quality of the video but elimanates the worry about the reflection of overhead lighting
Just a regular protector, nothing too great it worked without degrading the video.
Mirrored. Just put it on. while it protects the glass from scratching the shield itself shows the scratches on the film. if light reflects the right way the video is washed out as it tuens back into a mirror.
ZAGG invisible shield. Love the suggestion about installing it in a steamy bathroom. I had several pieces of dust under mine and it drove me crazy. The shield itself has a slight rubbery feel but you will quickly adapt to it. Great visibility, excellent protection, easy to follow directions and using the spray allows for a forgiving easy to installation.
I will be putting the ZAGG back on this weekend. Best choice IMO.

Not sure if it's been said, but after getting my warranty replacement invisible sheild, I noticed that they changed the corners for the back piece. They now have a slit in each corner, so no more lifting up. I can see this one lasting a long time.
P.S. It's a good idea to use the extra film (the borders around the cut pieces for your phone still have film that is unused) to cover all the chrome bits/sides, top and bottom of your iPhone. Mine is COMPLETELY covered now, all over where possible. Finally peace of mind from scratches lol.

Update:
The mirrored protector is coming off as soon as I get home and the invisible shield is going back on.
The mirrored film may protect the ipod but the mirrored film surface show scratches very clearly.

Dude i have a MEGA QUESTION. I haven't bought mine yet, but I have watched a lot of reviews. If we are supposed to go crazy with the spray, where is it all going. Maybe the open holes such as the home button or the phone speaker? I don't want them to give out because of the spray........... what is the spray?

it's not going to absorb shock or anything so chances are, you're phone will be dented or have a cracked screen. the IS is more of something that will protect you from sitting your phone on a greasy table or putting your phone in the same pocket as loose change or keys.
As for my question... i just bought the full body invisible skin for my phone. I'm wondering if i can put it on the back and also utilize my incase slider. I'm perfectly happy with just using the screen cover only. Just curious. and yes, i know even w/o the IS, it's a snug fit for the phone... just wondering.2G 16gb wrapped in a white incase slider w/ zagg invisible shield screen protector

i just bought invisible shield yesterday, but i can't tell its protection is great as i can imagine. i also agree that everyone should try more shields to find the best one you like.
