Modding my headphones

Hello all,

I am looking for some help locating a 3.5mm headphone jack (phone jack) that I can splice into my old headphones instead of shaving down the existing ends. I briefly looked through mouser electronics but I was wondering if anyone has a PN for the ones used by apple.

desolder your the apple earbuds from their wire, then desolder the earphones whatever kind they are from the wire they are on, resolder the ones you want to use on the apple wire. takes about 10 mins. there is a video either here or on everythingicafe or on youtube. i did it last week, this way you get to use your headphones and keep the answer button.

I suggest you buy other headphone aids in this case, change
The originals Apple are not worth.
Currently use 2 pairs, Grado SR60 and Grado RS1, ok we talk about hearing aids of $60 to $700 (in the model RS1) ..
But there is a level HiFi, for demanding audio

If you like In-Ear Headphones, then I recommend
The model Etymotic ER6i
Http://www.etymotic.com/ephp/er6i.aspx

Or brands like Shure, Sennheiser, AKG etc..

The forum www.headfi.org For more information

Apology my bad English

I thrash my headphones way too much to spend more then $50 on them.

I actually ended up swapping my apple ear buds for a set of skull candy ones and it was an awesome mod. 100x better sound and quality.
