I noticed this product and ordered it. I haven't got it yet but it will allow you to use the dock with a case. Kinda expensive at $29.99 but isn't everything iPhone ?

Finally a useful accessory, but it costs so much. Is it worth $30 just to be able to dock?

Yeah its worth the money. My phone is in the dock and on my computer desk more then its in my pocket. I don't even know why I put a case on it as it rarely leaves my desk but I do have a Belkin acrylic case , I bought another one after returning the first cause of a loose fit , BestSkinEver fixed that loose fit , now my phone sits all pretty in the dock with the case on it.

Currently prices at $26, the CableJive Dock Extender provides a 2-foot male to female cables for iPod and iPhone. Not exactly the same thing, but gets at the idea of not having to remove skin or case to charge the device:

I wonder how expensive it really is to make the dock extender... Certainly not $29... I wish that more accessory companies would look into a product like this...
