what kind was it? if it was apple brand than its most likely a scam, if its just a regular bluetooth headset they are pretty cheap now so i wouldnt be surprised. it would help if you provided a link

I have a plantronics for about 70. 40 doesn't sound too far off. Again, unless it is an apple, jawbone, or some other high end headset

As mentioned earlier, depends on the headset. I believe in more quality than 45 dollars worth though. I have a Jawbone, and I love it.
