Ok, maybe I got it. IF I have a Nokia phone, then I put the SIM (from the iPhone) into the Nokia phone. Run Nokia PC Suite and it will add contacts to the SIM. Then move the SIM back to the iPhone.

Sounds like a good way to do it, but how many poeple have a nokia phone laying around?

Not the most practical solution, but appears to be the only one.
