You can use pocketTouch to shake and go to the next or previous song. It is on the iPod Touch Fans source.

there are no moving parts so it should be fine.

And to the OP, the PocketTouch.app has the shake function to change songs.

In 1.3, you'll be able to shake songs without having PocketTouch open. For some reason though, the song will only work while other media related apps re open. Ie, iPod, Safari, etc. It won't work while you're looking at your SpringBoard.
