SMS via Wifi native app?

can this be done as a native app. i have tmobile and i dont get reception in a lot of places. i know there are websites out there that offer free texting through their sites but its clumsy and not so iphone friendly. and honestly, they just dont work. i used http://sms.dynadel.com and it that doesnt work. at school i get more wifi access then telephone signal. so i was wondering if someone can make an app that can harness the free text service from one of these sites and integrate our contacts and possibly an SMS client like the phone built into iphone. we just really gotta find a site provides unlimited access to their free text messaging service. how hard will this be able to do? anyone interested?

I use mobilechat with an aim account.

ya but i rather have it sync with my contacts instead of having to enter in 50+ manually. but i already knew that so thanks anyway.
