It's been a while and I admit to being completely amazed there isn't one nostalgic, talented person out there who has ported a SID player to the iPod Touch/iPhone. SID files being the music files taken from C64 games etc...
If I could program I'd do it myself. (And believe me, I've tried to pick it up. Just don't have the analytical mind for it sadly.) There is already a SID player for earlier iPod models. (I know that's useless to the iPhone/IPT, but it shows it can be done). Plus there is a ton of source code already out there for various platforms.
In an ideal world a SID player that supports the HVSC STIL information and can display it would be good, but really, I'd be happy with one that just plays the tunes (and their subtunes). I'm not at all picky. A simple file browser would do the job for me. Basically I just want to be able to carry the entire HVSC around in my pocket and listen to it.
