free 5 icon dock?

Ok so Caterpillar is stupid... Why would anyone in their right mind pay $45 for a 5 icon dock? Yes is a cool feature, but CRAP $45? I can almost buy a new XBOX 360 game. Anyways... My point is, the people who made Caterpillar got the 5 icon dock working(so they/everyone says), why cant anyone else do it and make it free?

Anyone with me on this?
