More info on how to do the SSH thing I don't know much about it. I'm sort of new to the iPhone scene.

If you have iFile you can create a FTP server and transfer files with it. Just login with the laptop's browser, iFile tells you the address you need to enter in the browser's address bar.

App Store apps...
Files Pro is easy to use and has a good PDF viewer.
If you need to edit Microsoft documents, try QuickOffice Pro.

I'd say Dropbox is the best. Fully integrates with iFile too

WinSCP is awesome. Use it whenever I need SHSH.
FileZilla is also a very good one.

iFunBox is a good one for Windows when it comes to communicating an iDevice to a Laptop for file transfer, SSH, etc.
My brain has an error at line 300: In function brainInitialize: the function "sarcasm" may not respond to "init".
