iPhone as Bluetooth Transmitter
The Concept:
Use the iPhone to transmit to other Bluetooth-enabled devices.
Input through the iPhone USB cable -> Output through Bluetooth to Bluetooth enabled device such as wireless headphones or a car speaker system.
Use:
Allow a computer without Bluetooth functionality to transmit to Bluetooth-enabled devices.
Play sound from computer on wireless Bluetooth headphones using the iPhone as a transmitter.
Further Development:
Transfer files over Bluetooth from computer to other Bluetooth-enabled device by way of the iPhone.
EDIT
This can be accomplished by streaming audio from pc to iPhone using an app such as Airfoil 4 or WiFi2HiFi however the time delay using these apps makes them unusable for activities such as watching videos or playing games.Last edited by Jordan T; 02-07-2012 at 07:07 PM.
