We are building an ROV to use on our search and rescue team. It sends video signal from it's camera to the surface via RCA. I have the adapter cable to play videos on the iPhone/iPad onto the tv via RCA.

My question is, is t possible to use this video out for video in. We would like to be able to use iPhones/iPads to record video. Ultimately, the video feed would actually go through a monitor, the the video out from the monitor to an iDevice to record short clips if we see something that we need to make a record of (evidence, victims, etc...)

Any help or advice anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated.
