Yes, these forums are to help people. Just try to keep your questions at one thread per topic and in the right section. That way you can get the best help.
I didn't answer the question because I am unsure myself. Have you checked the app store for something for this? I thought I remember seeing a few apps that could do this. Not too sure though.
Search USB disk in the app store.

Hmm I have checked the net and cydia store and there is something called ssh (??) to access the backend of Ur iPhone and therefor add new files which would effectively turn it into a portable hard drive.. I'm just not sure how it all works and how to do it without killing my
iPhone lol. Thanks for your help anyway I'll be less annoying in future (:

USBDrive cant remeber the repo just search google. you basically assign an ammount of disk space which you want to use, the it creates a partition for disk use. this is slightly annoying but then when plugged in it works just like a norman usb stick, windows installs any nessary drivers etc and bam, your away, drag and drop. when done if you want. delete the partition.
closest ive found to a good usb drive for iphone
check it out

It allows you to drag and drop things onto your iPhone without iTunes and it includes using your iPhone as a harddrive.
