The Double Tap Space Mod

1.1.1 added the "Kinda" cool feature of being able to double tap the space bar and it adding a period + a space afterwards

My question is, would it be possible for a mod to be made to switch that feature to comma + space?

I dont think i have ever used a period in a text message in my life, but i use comma's constantly

I want to know is this would be possible, and i know it would be a little while for it to be made if it is possible since 1.1.1 is so new and locked down

But i would pay money to anyone who could make this happen for me

It would be nice if it had a little toggle switch in the keyboard settings like the 'autocorrect' feature does

Of coarse that would be nice ... But that actually happening compared to this possibly happening is quite a difference

Having a full keyboard and auto correction/complete, there is no reason to not use capitols, periods and full words. (whadda know, that iPhone does this for you!)

I think the option of having a comma+space would be cool, but not to replace the period+place one.

Edit:and I talk correctly when using txt, i use comma's hella more then periods

You can even look at your post, there was more comma's then there was periods (as there is in pretty much any message)

I agree, you can only use one period per sentence but a (near) unlimited number of commas.

Its something thats already there in 1.1.1, All im asking for us to have the abilty to change it from a period to a comma

Its gonna be a little while before anyone would be able to scipt this, but if/when they do im willing to donate to the one who does

just a random tip that seems harder than necessary at first but if you get used to it it really helps.

if you just want to type one period and dont feel like hitting the keyboard switch option twice you can just tap it, but don't let up. move to teh period. let go, and then it will automatically bring you back to the alphabet pad!

Ya i knew that, Its works with any special character, it definatly is a nice feature, i use that pretty much everytime i use any special char

Can someone at least tell me who has the knowledge to do this? So i can bribe them to do it, i can express enough how much i want this

(I do know it gonna be a little bit, after 1.1.1 is cracked open, but thats not far from happening )

I liked the feature when the CrackBerries came out with it. It's handy, when you're typing a long email, but I'm not going to lose any sleep over it, especially for SMS. I mean, on average people type what, 2? 3? sentences tops, and then send the message on it's way? GOD forbid a few extra taps per message...

Yeah this would be nice... But I use alot of "..." so this would be nice if you can incorporate that into the mod :-)

This would be pretty easy to do if we found the file for it, but it would be much harder to put it as an option in the preferences versus editting a file
