Ya i imagine, Having the option to toggle it would be nice, but if i couldnt get that to happen i would be perfectly happy with editing the file, as i said i would donate nicely to anyone who could help me locate / edit this file for me, because i am MAJOR txt messenger, i write prolly 100 txt's a day and i use 50x more comma's then i do periods (if i use any periods at all)

Wether or not alot of poeple would want this, i can care less, as long as i can find someone wh could help ME do it, i would be SOOOO Happy

most of the talk has been around SMS. I use periods in emails! and in other places so for me it is a nice addition

If you use commas too much and not enough periods you're going to end up with run-on sentances or comma-splices.

being that there's a full keyboard on the iphone... i text using regular words/punctuation like a regular person. not like 13 year old GUrlZ

Thats for the flame ***, but i speak correctly when i txt msg, but there is always more comma's then there is periods.

Edit: Also, if you would have used correct punctuation in your post there would have been 2 comma's and 1 period

i definetly need more commas, in sms's but at the time being even though i have 1.1.1 and i have the double tap enabled in keyboard settings, it does not work...

If someone can do it, they could name a price .. as long as its not a rediculous amount, its worth a fair amount to me becuase i send 100 +/- txt msgs a day

Remember how on the old palm PDAs, you'd write letters on one side, and numbers on the other side? Why not just make it so double tapping on the left side inserts a comma and a space, and double tapping on the right side inserts a period and a space? There needn't be a visible break down the middle, and this option could be turned off in the preferences.

Come on, developers, it couldn't be that hard!

Im using 1.1.2, installed kb, which enable the option to turn ON/OFF the autocorrection; Im spanish so I disabled the autocorrection feature, but then the "double tapping space bar" funtion wont work. Any ideas?

yeah, the settings for "double-tapping space bar" is gone after i installed kb. anybody got ideas on how to get round this?

yeah, my double tap is gone also. I'm using 1.1.3. Could it be it's incompatible w/ 1.1.3?
