An app for deleting the App update notification?

Hi

Could someone please include the option for deleting the app update notification (red badge with number on the app store icon).

As on many occasions the new version of an app is buggy...or not compatible with the firmware of the iphone ie old iphones etc.

It can be very frustrating seeing the red update icon all the time.

On your iPod/iPhone, go to Settings > Notifications, and pick the selected app, and turn off "badges" for that application(s).

That does not work for the app store

Go into var/mobile/applications and look in those folders. Inside, there should be a folder that ends in .app (ie. whistle.app). Open the one you want to edit, then open info.plist and edit the "CFBundleversion" and (if it exists) the "CFBundleShortVersionString" keys to a number equal to or higher than the latest version on the App store. Open the store and the badge should go away because it thinks you have the latest version.
