I think repo owners should start penalizing developers that fail to update their apps. Might add a little "incentive".

I'm looking into this also. Used quite a bit on iOS3

Bluetooth is a **** protocol, and I don't blame Apple for wanting to phase it out, but surely it wouldn't have been too much work to include it just for the sake of compatibility?
09-14-2010, 05:51 PM #12
the reason apple didn't include this or any other app that accesses the file system is to protect their real business, 'selling media content' in itunes.

I don't see how it "protects" anything. It's not like they couldn't easily block off content you'd purchased from the store; as it is now, you can't even send pictures.

Hey I have a 4s iOS 5.1.1 firmware 2.0.12 and I downloaded ibluetooth thru cydia. Every time I go to open it , it automatically closes down. I've tried reinstalling it. I've tried downloading from different sites and even cracked. And none will open. I've spent a longtime on the net trying to search why it won't. But there is nothing helpful out there. So please can someone help me or at least give me an explanation why it won't.

Simple answer is they were never updated by the author for iOS5
iBluetooth didn't work on iOS4.3 either.
The only two bluetooth file transfer apps which work on iOS5 are AirBlue Sharing and Celeste.
Celeste however is only available if you bought it on iOS4. But there is a way of purchasing it if you follow this link
can't purchase celeste (cydia error)
