Homescreen Background Changer.app

Don't know if anyone has thought of this. Would love to have an app that would change your homescreen background without having to use MobileFinder.app.

umm, isnt that just changing your wallpaper? you can do that by just going to the normal settings in your iphone...

i dont know about you, but i have never used mobilefinder to change my "home screen background".

If you install summerboard and turn the Theme Wallpaper setting to off it will display whatever wallpaper you have on the homescreen!

No need for a seperate app.

And yes we do need this app. I have alot of wallpapers that I use, and renaming them all the time gets old.
1. Random wallpaper.
2. Change after a set time.
3. Change after sleep/wake.
4. Transition effects.
5. Change/set wallpaper directory.
Or add this to the next SummerBoard update.
If i could code. I would make this...

I sure there are a few programs that do this now, but none are free. Just a small app that would allow you to change the homescreen background, not the wallpaper. I don't know about some of you... but I don't want my Wallpaper and Homescreen Background to be the same. God I wish I knew how to code.

I'm pretty sure Summerboard 3.2 can take care of this for you
best of all its FREE! edit: the only app that can give you two different wallpapers is Caterpillar. Maybe i'll consider coding this.

the only thing summerboard can do is set the wallpaper thats currently in use as the background. The only way to make this work with summerboard is to change the wallpaper image in the current theme that your using, and that has to be done manually with mobilefinder or winscp. I do it now, but it's just so tedious to do 5-10 steps just to change your Homescreen background. I know Caterpillar can do it, but not everyone has the luxury of subscribing to use their app. If you code it m3thodandr3d... they will come

Well rWallpaper can change the wallpaper(Lock screen background) randomly, in fact that's what its for. But the only problem is that it only uses the images in the camera roll or defalt wallpaper directory. I would like to be able to set the wallpaper directory.

"we're talking about your homescreen background/wallpaper"

Yes I know. But if you want it to change the Home Screen, just turn of home screen theming in SMBPrefs(and i know it will change the lock screen also).
You can replace your defalt apple wallpapers with your own wallpapers so it can randomly change those. Before you do this you might want to back up your defalt apple wallpapers(/Library/Wallpapers). Just replace them with your own .png's. For now untill someone makes this better, or makes a new app. This is how I do it.

Man some people are so stupid!..
GOSH ****! what they want is the background to randomly cycle through a bunch of the backgrounds they put on their phone. This could/would involve the the use of SMB. They most likely know that they can change the the theme wallpaper to what they one they have set. sheesh simple

First of all, who are you calling stupid? I don't think you have any right to say that seeing this little line in your post... "the the theme wallpaper to what they one they have set."

Secondly...."what they want is the background to randomly cycle through a bunch of the backgrounds they put on their phone." Thank you captain obvious!

Thirdly, We want the Home Screen Wallpaper to change, leaving the Lock Screen Wallpaper the same. For now, that isn't possible. But we can cycle random wallpapers with "rWallpaper". It will be cycling the lock screen wallpaper for now, but all you need to do to see it on the home screen is disable wallpaper theming in SMBPrefs.

Can't we all just get along, lol. First of all, I said nothing about cycling, really don't have a care for it. Everyone keeps talking about SMB, but nobody is really understanding what I'm trying to say. A simple app that would change your HOMESCREEN BACKGROUND, to whatever photo you have on your phone. To be able to do this without having to change settings in one or two different apps. The only program that does this as of now is Caterpillar, but it's not free. Now please people let's stop arguing and see if someone just might code it for us. Thanks
