There's no samba/NFS client from Apple.

There's none on cydia or rock.

However, a thread elsewhere on modmyi showed me that there is indeed a working implementation available, and that made me happy. Perhaps the same can be done for other gaps in my software list.

Now with flash, apple don't support it. I assume that we won't get flash on the J/B iphone because it's a proprietary binary from adobe, the format is closed(is it?) so it's too damn difficult to implement a player -- but it could be done, if someone spent a million bucks on it. IOW, apple can't stop anyone from putting a flash player on a JB phone, but it's really hard to make one, is this right?

Moving on, where is my XMPP client? The protocol is open, the source code for many implementations exists, so why can't I find a client on Cydia/Rock? Am I using the wrong search terms? Does anyone know of a Jabber/google talk client available from another repository perhaps?

Thanks for your help!
