Mark SMS as read from Lockscreen

Hi all,

Just wondering if there is someone out there to make this possible.

When i get a text i always just like to glance at it while im at work and then throw it back in my pocket, but the problem is that my reminder will go off until i slide to unlock and check the sms in the app.

My fix is to create a quick dismiss like app that would allow the SMS to be marked as read and dismissed from the lockscreen or wherever you read the sms from.

Is this possible and would you use this?

Yeah download irealsms from cydia. Then you have what you are looking for plus quickreply from lockscreen and any app

You are missing the point. Yeah sure if i wanted a quick reply from the lockscreen (which i do, its just that none of those are 100% compatible with iblacklist) it would be good, and those have plenty of bugs to workout (patiently waiting for irealquick update SOON hopefully) but using the default app, how hard could it be to just mark it as read usign the homebutton and then dismiss it.

You might try Quick Dismiss by David Ashman. Basically does exactly what you are describing.

I don't think people are understanding what EXACTLY you are trying to say.

What if you turned off the "Show preview"

Settings>Messages>Show Preview

and maybe turn off alert.
