Support for 3rd party video out cables

Disable the annoyance and when plugging in a non apple approved cable. Allow video out to work with out stopping and replaying.

Not gonna happen. There is a hardware chip inside the cable that must pass verification.

Aside from the obvious Apple advantage, Do you know, is there any quality or other advantages to this unusual cable arrangement restriction?

So why cant software be used to disable the hardware check? You make it seem like its impossible but it's really not.
