Custom E-mail Alerts?

Coming form the Blackberry world I made great use of the custom alerts for certain incoming e-mails.

I would pay for an app that allowed the ability to assign an alert to a certain incoming e-mail address and for it to repeat said alert at a certain interval until read.

Coming from WM world I also miss it, and the same for SMS.

not sure if someone has implemented such a program but you could always change the sound for either one by using themes or sshing into the phone and changing them all together
