Can each springboard page have its own wallpaper?
I used to be able to clearly name each springboard page with JumpSpring. Now, with it broken and no news on any work being done to make it work again, I wonder can we have the next best option which is to put a different wallpaper for each springboard page?

SpringJump didnt enable you to use different wallpapers per page, it is a feature of winterboard.
So yes, you still can the same exact way as before.

May be I've managed to confuse you. Jumspspring let me name each pages with a description I entered.
Since we now don't have JumpSpring anymore, can we somehow have a different wallpaper for each page so that I can indirectly name my pages? I will use wallpapers that says Games, Multimedia, References, etc.

As long as you have Winterboard installed, you should be able to do that.
In your main theme folder you will use the following file names.
Wallpaper.png (main wallpaper that sits on the bottom "layer")
Page0.png
Page1.png
Page2.png
etc....
The Page0-PageX.png will overwrite the original Wallpaper.png. This means that you can use a mostly transparent Page0.png that only includes the page name text, or you can create an entirely new page look for those.
You will see this most commonly used on the iNav themes, and are a good place to start learning about it if you're so inclined.
Cheers!

the way this is done is through winterboard. you add the name as part of the wallpaper, usually the name of the page is associated with an invisible springjump that would take you to that page with that wallpaper. TONS of themes do this including my own. the only thing is that without springjumps you have to slide to that page instead of clicking on the name and going there
The beatings will continue until morale improves.

Thank you TooSlo and Cricketlang
What's your theme called? Where can I find it?
iNav looks a bit like what I want. I'll try it out.
Edit: iNav looks very messy. It has hugh pictures that covers up the other icons. Is it because they got the wrong sizes for some of the icons? It is unuseable as it is.
Cricketlang, can I try your theme instead?
Actually, I want to keep the standard icons. I just want to have a different wallpaper that I create to be used.Last edited by eaglesteve; 08-14-2009 at 08:19 PM. Reason: Automerged Doublepost
