I love MLB at bat 2009. I paid for it love it more then anything. I am a big baseball fan yet my 2 favorite teams I cant watch due to location blackout restrictions. I would love it if someone came up with an app that told MLB that I was on the other side of the country, like california so I can watch my favorite teams when I am out and about. Like commuting and stuff.

I'm not really sure, I think it's cause the teams have their own stations they show home games at. So great if I am in front of a tv i can watch it but if i am on the train I miss the game. Now what's the point of being able to watch all games except your own team?

I understand why they may want people to only watch it on tv for commercials. But if I am on the road I miss the game anyways. Would be nice to trick the servers into sending them the wrong location so I can see what I really want to see MY teams.

Hmm... maybe you could try using VoIPover3G (on cydia). That would trick the iPhone into thinking you are on a wifi network when you aren't... it might not make sense but give it a go?

I'm not sure how the phone sends the location information to MLB. I dont think it makes much difference either way if I turn off 3g, or wifi or any combo still the same. Just need to send MLB a different location.

It uses google maps to find your location. It then sends it to MLB, and then relays if you are in an area in which that team you want to watch is on a local tv station. And if you are within that area, it blacks you out from being able to watch it.

No one uses that anymore ... Now its 3G Unrestricter
