I'm looking for an iPod app replacement that acts and looks exactly the same way, but sends your listening data to Last.fm every 30 minutes or so. This can even be a legit App Store app since there's no need for any background processes running unlike the current Last.fm app available on Cydia. And the official Last.Fm app sucks and is virtually useless.

There are two options. The first being iScrobble which is an official app on the appstore located here. It does have drawbacks since it only works when you open the app.

The second is called Scrobbl which is a jailbroken app that works like the old Scrobble and Scrobbled apps from 2.2. It works great and can be found in the BigBoss Repo. More info is here.

I sync my iphone daily and the last.fm scrobbler takes care of everything from my desktop. i don't really see the point in having an app if its going to be delayed anyway.
