i start my car?

This is just a pipe dream, but I think it would be really great to be able to start my car from my iphone.... is it even possible?

not unless a car is able to start via WiFi lol...

i really dont think so...but that would really be awesome...a really cool showoff for youre friends

But on serious note this will be a killer app but car starters use Fm frequency ...? So if iPhone can get radio but without any extra attarchments that would b start Mayb (god knows) then there b problem ihackers will try to hack into other ppl cars LOL its tempting.

There are devices that can controll a car with sms messages, you put in a simcard of any provider and after that you controll via sms various things with any cellphone. You can start stop the engine, roll up or down windows, controll the AC, lock unlock the doors and so on.

Yeah and i remember seeing pimp my ride and they did all that through bluetooth as well.

They gave this kid a phone with all the settings programed in and then all he has to do is go into the phone and press windows up and they go up and he even started the car with it i dont know how maybe they hooked bluetooth up to the ignition somehow.

Oh well something to look forward to i guess.

Possible if you have this car...Land Rover LRX Concept. i think it looks beautiful and someone had a good idea and commented about having a pop out mold to fit new versions and styles that the iphone would go through makes alot of sense, since cars outlast your cell phones. Link Below.

^^ Wow, that's way cool!! Wish my VW Touareg had an iPhone dock that integrated the car's system with the iPhone. One day in the not too distant future I guess, now that iPod connectors are almost ubiquitous in most cars.

yes it is possible. there are packages that include sms, phonecalls, IRDA, BT, etc commands.

i used to start my car with my mobile, lock/unlock, open the rear hood, lights, ac and windows

the package i bought was around £200GBP so think smthin like $400USD
