cutomized app
I installed the customized app, but everytime I go into it I am asked to create an account. I have already done that.

Customize is an old app. Download and use Winterboard instead.

If I've helped you, you can help me by clicking on that Thanks button.

I hate to look dumb but I have had my phone for a week and not real familiar with cydia. I did search "slider" and "slider apps" and only came up with slider text themes.

As I said,
open Cydia app
When on the first page that loads, on that page you'll find a tab saying "More Package Sources".
Scroll through the additional sources and add a few that where mentioned.
After you do that, hit the "Search" tab at the bottom of the screen, type in "sliders" in the search area and you will get a list of available themes and apps that will have sliders in it.
Open and look around for something you like.
Have fun.

You can change your slider and slider text as well as almost any other image through Winterboard which would I would recommend..
but if you want to do it directly on the original files then goto: /System/Library/CoreServices/Springboard.app/English.Iproj/SpringBoard.strings
edit the SpringBoard.strings

I have a slider & carrier icon from one theme and would like it to be the slider & carrier icon no matter what theme is chosen in winterboard.

To replace slider in the filesystem goto: /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/Telephony.UIframework/
The homescreen slider will be bottombarknobgray.png
While your there, if you want to change the other sliders they will be:
bottombarknobgreen.png is the call slider
bottombarknobred.png is the turn off phone slider
EDIT: for carrier goto: /System/Library/Carrier Bundles/ATT_US.bundle/
Here you will see the two att images:
Default_CARRIER_ATT.png
FSO_CARRIER_ATT.pngLast edited by THEdAY; 03-20-2009 at 03:18 PM.

^^^ winterboard uses less than 1mb of memory
it will have absoloutely no effect on your system memory... unlike all the other apps you ude like quickgold
customize doesnt work for themes still you have to add them manually and it is an ancient app only good for people who can figure out how to use winterboard
