There are a few apps i have seen that have radio features but they are not local radio. They are all streamed radio. An app that allows you to be able tune into your local radio station would be very useful.

The reason i ask is most weekends when the football isnt on the tv and i cant get to the match i have the radio on and the girlfriend hates it cos she cant hear the tv (lol) so being able to listen to it on my iphone would be perfect.

I aint a developer so aint got a clue if this is possible.

The only way this will ever be done is with streaming radio unless you get a 3rd party attachment to plug in to the iPhone as an FM Tuner - it doesn't come with one built in to it, so unless your local radio station streams online it ain't gonna happen.

What Gregorio said. You can't make an app to just pick up local radio stations because 1/2 of your solution requires a hardware mod. The iPhone doesn't have a built in tuner, so it's not possible.
