would it be possible to create an app that could turn off/on all sounds/vibrations on the iphone? would this be possible? i have no experience with this whatsoever so sorry if this idea is way out of the question.

you can do it with settings and the switch on the side

it wouldnt be too hard to do but i dont think anyone would want too when there is a physical button made for that soul purpose

well yea, but the problem is, the switch on the side seems to switch itself around fairly easily in my pocket, which really bugs me. its not too good for school...

well how about just turning the sound all the way down.. if it goes off just cover the bottom left side of the phone and absoloutly no sound

plus the vibrate is quiet enough that noone will hear it

I'm making an app that will override the Physical Ringerswitch; you'll get to switch between Silent(no vibrations, no sound), Vibrate, and Sound.
And then I will make it configurable whether to allow sound, vibrate, or silent on specific sound actions.
But I don't expect the app to be available for a month or two (after beta release)
