app to link to webpage
Hello developer,
I would like to have an app that creates an icon on the springboard and when clicked it takes the user to my website for easy access. I know this is possible in Safari, but I would like it available on Cydia for users to download. I don't THINK this would be difficult, but keep in mind I know nothing about developing for the iPhone.
The site is located in my signature. Thanks for any help.
Nick Z

I have googled like crazy and can't find anything on this. I know someone on this site is capable of creating this app!

I tried looking through iblank to find some sort of help in making my app, but couldn't figure it out. So I'm stuck with someone attempting to make it for me.
I'm not attempting to promote my site in this tread, just trying to get help in creating this app.

I can do this for you, although I am not sure it will be accepted by the App Store if that is the distribution route you are looking at. I just tried this and it works fine, although it does look like it is launching a window before suddenly changing its mind and launching Safari instead. I'll see if I can find a way to eliminate that part, although to be fair, it IS launching one app then changing its mind and launching Safari.

That's awesome! Thank you very much. I don't want to release it in the App Store so that's not a problem. I'd like to release it in Cydia. Can you upload it so I can see what you've done so far? Where do you SSH the app into?
Thanks again jrrl

jjrl was able to create this app, but is unable to compile it. Is there anyone that can compile this app if I send them the code in a blink file?

It is a zip file of the project directory created by XCode. I just can't compile as I am still waiting for my registration to be processed.
The "blink" confusion comes from me telling Nick Z in an im that I could send him the code "in a blink" meaning "without delay".
